when malaysia meets india...

so much to type, so malas =.=

overall the trip was pretty good. but it could have been better. i have a few suggestions for India;
1) please construct a proper drainage system.
2) please educate the public about personal hygiene
3) please educate the public on how to keep India clean and spit-free (its so bloody disgusting to see people spitting everywhere!).
4) please upgrade the bloody hotels lah!! the bloody toilets are so bloody ugly!!! and hello, you need to change the sheets and towels once they ain't white no more! bloody management!!! and come one, you only give soaps when the guests request them?? we pay for it lahhh!!! haiyo haiyo!!
5) and please lah, can you guys be done with the road construction already or not? the roads are so bloody tiny and your highway construction is taking FOREVER!!! + fix all the holes on the road okay!!! i hate dancing bharathanatyam while travelling. my butt hurts. ouch.
6) and whats with the goats and cows crossing the MAIN ROADS and all other roads as and when they like lah...seriously, what if some one runs over the animals?
cows and humans in India are the same. both ignorant. you can honk as much as you like, but they ain't moving from their grandfathers road.
7) OMG, the bloody beggars!! so many of them. come one, India. This is a bloody rich country! the people are not poor. whats with the begging??? very frustrating to see people with perfect limbs begging and what more, using their babies to beg as well, giving the excuse that the babies haven't been fed. mind you the beggars all have hand phones!! and there's a whole begging scheme going on. and when you say you don't have change to give the beggars, they actually pull out bundles of notes and tell you they have change. begging is like a business/culture there.
8) all the Ayappan devotees...whats the use of devoting yourself to god with such a foul mouth. and don't you people know manners? cutting lines at temples and pushing people. bloody uncouth buggers.

....and the list goes on....

the bottom line is, Indians need to be educated on so many issues. not studies la. they are smart when it comes to that, but stupid in so many other ways...sigh. what a pity.

anyways, let's get on to the fun parts of the trip :)
i saw Abi!! finally after 8 long years!! it was so good to see her. she was loads of fun to hang around with and i also saw Nandhika!!! my latest baby cousin!! she is so chubby and adorable and constantly smiling. and of course it was good to see amatchi and tata as well. the food was awesome. we had a variety of food each day at the village. either thosai, idly, puri or uppuma. and the sambars and chutneys in India are soooooo GOOOOD!! especially the sambar!! you can never get those Indian sambars in Msia. sigh. and the idli's...so soft!! like flower! im serious. so soft and so yummy!! and we had meals for lunch almost everyday! meals there consists of a HUGE plate of rice (enough to feed 3 Malaysians, but for the Indians, one plate ain't enough) and they give you a papadam and a huge plate with tiny bowls, filled with varieties of vege's and curries + curd and something sweet, usually payasam or sometimes gulab jamun. and they are oh-so-orgasmic. INDIANS CAN COOK. INDIANS CAN EAT. nuff said. lol
and then, dad's village was pretty boring as it lacks facilities and we don't like the weather. and then there's the constant talk about the land stuff which annoys the shit outta me.
and Kanyakumari was alright. very hot as it is a beach area but it was nice just to walk around and observe people. then Kovalam in Kerala was also alright. again very hot as it is by the beach and we couldn't go swimming as there were a lot of jelly fishes. and Allaphey in Kerala was noting. one day wasted there. it is also by the beach. we were supposed to rent a house boat but that was very costly so we wasted the day there. and then we headed to Thekkady, Kerala, crossing the Western Ghats. the view was fantastic. so green and beautiful. there we went on this wildlife safari adventure. that was a good adventure for all of us. the walking and the jungle trekking and the boating and the trying to spot elephants but failed miserably.lol. overall, Thekkady is awesome and definitely want to go there again! and then we descended down the Western Ghats to Madurai. sigh. Kerala is so clean. you can't find walls with the strong stench of urine on it. if u do come across a wall like that in Kerala, u know its the bloody Tamil fellows who peed on it. once in Madurai, the pungent smell of urine on the walls greeted us, reminding us we were back in Tamil Nadu :( haha. the good thing about being in Tamil Nadu was that we understood the language. but Malayalam is not that hard. the words are very similar to Tamil and the writing too. we could understand it, but couldn't speak much. so anyways, in Madurai we only went to the famous Madurai temple. next day we headed back to mom's village. baby time again!! whee...abi had gone back to her uni hostel, but she came back the next day so she could see us giving the excuse that her grandma had passed away so she needed to head back home (uni's in India are very strict. u can't just ponteng as and when you like and her grandma had passed away more than 25 years ago =.=). and then after a couple of days there, we headed back to Trichy and did all the shopping there and headed back on the 20th of Dec.
